Orange, Almond Salad Recipe
1Â Â Â Â Â head of Romaine Lettuce, washed, dried and torn into pieces
1Â Â Â Â Â cup of chopped celery
1/2Â Â Red Onion, sliced into very thing rings
2Â Â Â Â Â 11-oz can of Mandarin Oranges, drained
1Â Â Â Â Â 2-oz. package sliced Almonds or approx. 1/4 cup
Tip:Â Soak your onion slices in ice water for 15 minutes and drain to soften the onion flavor
Dressing
1/4Â Â Â Â Â cup of Canola Oil
2Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Tb. Tarragon Vinegar…you can add more if you would like it a little more tart
2Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Tb. granulated sugar
1Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â tsp, hot pepper sauce (like Tabasco)
1/2Â Â Â Â Â tsp. salt
1/2Â Â Â Â Â tsp. pepper
Tip:Â If you do not have Tarragon Vinegar on hand, substitute White Wine Vinegar and add 1 tsp. dried Tarragon.
Whisk dressing ingredients together, pour over salad and mix until salad ingredients are covered.
